Fall Festival - October 15, 2022
On October 15th Glenridge Manor hosted its first ever Fall Festival. After the chili lunch and social hour, activities included a bounce house and coloring contest for the kids, and bingo for the adults. Additional things to do included a frisbee toss, free throw shooting contest, and corn hole. Prizes were awarded for each contest. Besides the activities, there was a craft show where residents sold an assortment of jams, crocheted items, puzzles, and wood burning items. If you are a resident of Glenridge Manor and missed the festival this year, you don't want to miss it next year!
Swimming Pool - September 15, 2022
Just after Labor Day weekend this year, Glenridge Manor had Nierman Brothers Pools and Spas come in and completely resurface the pool.
The project included new tile work, reconstruction in several places around the skimmers, and completely new pool surface. Gone is the rough pool bottom and it has been replaced with a nice, smooth surface. This project is just another sign of Glenridge's commitment to providing our residents a nice place to live.
Courts Resurfaced - May 15, 2022
This spring, Glenridge Manor resurfaced the basketball court and tennis court. We also added pickleball lines on the tennis court, making it a dual purpose court.
So, you may ask "What is pickleball"? Contrary to what you may think, it does not involve pickles at all! If you can imagine a game that is a combination of tennis and ping-pong, you would be close. If you look at the tennis court above, you will see the pickleball lines in yellow. As you can see, the pickleball court is much smaller than a tennis court and it most often is played as a doubles game (four players). It is a fun, fast paced game that doesn't require the stamina that tennis requires. It is also good fun for people of all ages. Glenridge Manor has paddles and balls for all residents and there is no charge to play.
In August, the tennis/pickleball court will be reserved on Thursday nights at 7:00PM for an introduction to pickleball. All residents are invited to come to the court and try out pickleball! Contact the office to learn more, or just show up at 7:00 on Thursday.
Street Signage Replaced - February 15, 2022
This spring Glenridge Manor will be installing new signage throughout the park. The signs to be changed include Stop Signs, Speed Limit Signs, and assorted caution signs. We want to make sure residents as well as their guests can see signs during the day, at night or if it is raining. This is also an excellent time to remind everyone there are children and pets in the park and to use caution when driving through the park. Currently we expect to begin and finish the installation during the month of March.
